Meet Meaghan "Meag" Taylor
Born in Alton, Illinois, Meaghan stayed on the move changing residences six times before landing on the campus of Florida A&M University (FAMU). While at FAMU her initial plan was to pursue a career in television news, but once that did not go according to plan she went to a WANM 90.5 interest meeting and has been doing radio ever since her junior year of college.
What is WIR?
Women In Radio (WIR) is an organization for the support and advancement of women in the radio industry. Radio is a big and competitive place, but often times it lacks diversity. Women In Radio is a place where women can feel a sense of togetherness.
The organization started in July 2016, and continue to gain momentum and recognition by women and men all over the world.
"We believe in positively uplifting each other and celebrating our wins."
This organization is not only for those who are on air but also: Programmers, Board Operators, Engineers, Promotions, Sales, Producers, Traffic, Administrative Assistants, Interns, and etc. Check out their website and other social media pages - tickets are almost sold out.
