Richie Sunday also known as Dolla Boi from Akwa Ibom State, was born and raised In Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria December 10th, 1991. He developed his love and interest for music by constantly listening to Lil Wayne from a tender age. Coming from a humble beginning he had his primary and secondary education in calabar. Loosing his father when he was much younger persuaded him to leave the city to continue his musical career in Ghana and later to Lagos where he currently resides & focused more on his dream of becoming a world super star.
He started as a hip pop artist before he discovered the real elements of his sound to be afrobeat and now making afrobeat/pop music professionally.
He has been featured on a few international/local collaborations.
Dolla Boi is a self sponsored artist who has worked so hard and continues to work hard to showcase his brand and style of #afrobeat music. His recent release #Heartbeat has gained the heart of so many music lovers worldwide and that has motivated the one time Grammy Award nominee and konvict music (record label founded by R&B Singer Akon) producer/DJ Eddie Stokes to hook up with the talented Nigerian boy for a song which will be released for the public soon.
